Bereavement - Community Resources

One of the greatest dilemmas of a newly bereaved person is finding the resources needed to help in adjusting to life without a loved one. Our community is richly blessed with a wealth of organizations dedicated to reaching out and helping citizens, but knowing what is available can take energy that is lacking in the bereaved.

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma employs a full-time social worker whose job it is to assist patients and their families in finding the help they need. While her primary focus is finding resources for families during the patient's illness, she also can be of assistance in guiding the bereaved in the right direction when outside help is needed after the death. Local resources are too numerous to mention here, but we will list a few of those more commonly needed.
