Bereavement - Correspondence
The weeks and months after the death of a loved one
can be some of the toughest. Because grief isn't over when the last sympathy
card is tucked away, it is important that the bereaved know that others are
thinking of them long after the formal public time of grief has ended.
During the first year following the death of your loved one, you will
receive cards from us at various times. We want you to know that we care,
and that we continue to think of you and your loved one. Many on our staff
have invested considerable time and heart-given effort in caring for your
loved one during his/her life. They also miss your loved one's presence and
often think of you and wonder how you are doing in the adjustment time that
follows your loss.
Someone once said that the greatest fear of a bereaved person is that there
loved one will be forgotten. We want you to know that your loved one is NOT
forgotten, and neither are you!
