Bereavement - Individual Support

Because love does not end where loss begins, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma is dedicated to family follow-up after the death of the patient. Many times our families find they are surrounded with support from friends, family and the community during their loved one's illness and for a short time after the funeral. Once this period has past, however, many bereaved persons feel suddenly alone in their grief.

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma bereavement services will provide you with emotional and educational support throughout the next 15 months through cards, phone calls, booklets, and personal visits if desired.

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma has staff and volunteers who are qualified and experienced in bereavement who genuinely care about you. They facilitate the support group meetings and are also involved with individual follow-up with our families. Additional individual support is available to you if you desire. This may include additional visits and phone calls to see how you are doing during the months following your loss. You may or may not wish to stay in touch depending on your coping style, level of family and community support, and your personal schedule. Because we understand that each person grieves in his/her own way, we make every effort to offer the best in support while also respecting the privacy of our families.
